Daniel C. Armstrong

Daniel C. Armstrong age 74 of Dixon Road Brookville, PA; (Munderf)  passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway.  

Born on May 4, 1951 in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Beck) Armstrong. He is survived by five children: Diane Armstrong Powell, Shawn (JoEllen) Armstrong, Daniel Ryan Armstrong, Michael (Eva) Armstrong, and Brandon (Jordan Wright) Armstrong, as well as 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 5 siblings: Joyce (John) Showers, Marcia (Randy) Newell, Becky (Joe) Bona, Brenda "Bo" (Rich) Delia, and John (Tina) Armstrong, as well as a sister-in-law, Linda Armstrong, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Armstrong.

Dan grew up on a farm and carried a love for farming throughout his life. He enjoyed working the land and sharing what he knew with others. Over the years, he worked in construction, trucking, and sales. He had a talent for negotiation and could talk his way into a good deal.

Dan had a number of interests that brought him pride and purpose. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing — and passed along that tradition to others. He was also a natural craftsman, building everything from covered wagons to porch swings, which he sold or gave to friends and neighbors.

In 2024, Dan was baptized and received the Lord, a decision that brought him comfort and peace in his final year.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway and again on Saturday, July 26 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Community Church of Munderf. A Funeral Service will immediately follow  at 11:00 AM with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow at the Munderf Cemetery.
