Catherine "Nene" Astori

Catherine M. “Nene” Astori age 100 a lifelong resident of  Brockport, died on Thursday June 1, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on September 26, 1922 in Brockway, PA; she was the daughter of the late Guy and Jennie Marnati Fustine. She was married to Andrew “Andy” Astori and he preceded her in death on December 3, 1993. Nene had been employed at Brockway Glass for many years up and until her mother in law became sick, at which time she retired to become a full time caregiver to her. She was a member at Holy Cross Church in Brandy Camp until it was closed and was very active in the church. She was a member of the Rosary Society at Holy Cross and was active in its many ministries, but she enjoyed being on the bingo committee the most. After the church’s closure she become a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway. Nene is survived by 2 nieces Jennifer (Michael) Martino and Laura Adams both of Brockway, great nieces and nephews Mikey Martino, Dominique Martino, Carter Adams, Noah Adams, Robby Stowman and Samantha Stowman;  and great great nephews Bentley and Emmett Kimberling. She is also survived by numerous additional nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is also preceded in death by 2 sisters Margaret Volpe, Virginia Lowther; 5 brothers Sam, Joseph, William, Alfred and Floyd Fustine and a niece Deb Astori. There will be no public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 24 at 1:00 PM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Fr. John Detisch presiding.  Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Kersey. Memorial donations may be made to St. Tobias Church 1135 Hewitt Street Brockway, PA 15824.
