Anna belle Preston

Anna Belle Preston age 97 a lifelong Beechwoods resident and most recently a resident at the DuBois Village, died on Saturday November 18, 2023 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on October 5, 1926 in Beechwoods, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Eva Cable Welsh. On December 12, 1944 she was married to William G. Preston and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1981. Retired, Anna Belle had worked at the Tastee Freeze in Brockway for many years. She was a member of the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church where she had served as a Trustee and a Deacon, and was a member of the Beechwoods Women’s Association. She also was active in many church functions over the years and especially enjoyed the annual church Bazaar. Anna Belle enjoyed quilting, mowing her lawn and tending to her flowers. She is survived by 2 daughters Nancy (Jack) Hartzfeld of Brockway, Deborah Dixon of DuBois; 4 grandchildren Pamela (Doug) Long, Jeffery (Pam) Hartzfeld, David (Kerri) Dixon and Carra (Greg) Wheat; 8 great grandchildren Meagan (Jake) Gaston, Nathan Long, Jordan Hartzfeld, Olivia Hartzfeld, Emmelyn Dixon, Brode Dixon, Kendall Wheat, Colby Wheat and 3 great great grandchildren Oliver Gaston, Xavier Gaston and Melody Long. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Joyce Welsh of Falls Creek and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a son-in-law James Dixon, 6 brothers: James, Chester, Fred, Mike, Charles and William Welsh and 5 sisters: Margaret Daugherty, Betty Geraldi, Dorothy Lundberg, Nancy Welsh and Louise Lundberg. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 21 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Pastors Dave and Emily Koehler officiating. Burial will be in the Beechwoods Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church 14 Beechwood Road Falls Creek, PA 15840 or the Beechwoods Cemetery C/O Jack and Marilyn Tully 1860 Old Grade Road Falls Creek, PA 15840.
