William "Bill" Delia

William “Bill” Delia age 96 of Chapman Road Brockport, PA; died on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway. Born in Brockway on October 16, 1921 he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Frances Paladino Delia. On July 31, 1949 he was married to Louise F. “Toots” Noker and she preceded him in death on July 10, 2010. Retired, Bill was a Mould Maker at Brockway Glass. He was a member of St. Tobias Church in Brockway. He served in the U.S. Air Force  during WW II as a P51 mechanic. He was an original founder of the Owens-Brockway Golf Course and was a member of the Blue Rock Settlers. Bill loved wood working, gardening, hunting and spending time with his family. He is survived by 2 sons: Ronald Delia and Richard (Brenda “Bo”) Delia both of Brockway; a daughter Judith Billock of DuBois, PA; a sister Eleanor Aravich of DuBois;  a brother Louis Delia of Brockway; 5 grandchildren: Rick (Casie) Delia, Dawna (Tom) Ceriani, Robert “Muggs” Delia, Annjeanette (Joel) St. Clair, and Brandon Billock as well as 7 great grandchildren: Ricky, Zack, Braelyn, Kyler, Jenna, Kayla and Tommy. Bill recently said “I am so proud of all of my grandkids.”In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Ralph and Joeffrey Delia and a sister Christine Delia. Calling hours will be on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 2 at 10:00 AM at St. Tobias Church also in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery. Full Military honors will be accorded on Friday morning at the church by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion. A Vigil Service will be held Thursday evening at 8:45 PM also at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
