Thomas A. Welsh age 73 of Arch Street Extension, currently a resident at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Highland View. Born on November 5, 1944 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Frederick and Patricia Lemmon Welsh. Retired, he had been employed as a Book Keeper for Brockway Boro for over 25 years. After his retirement from the Boro, Tom worked part time as a Sales Associate at Wal-Mart in DuBois and as an Auditor for Washington Twp. He was Protestant by faith. Tom served in the United States Marine Corp and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a life member of the Brockway Handgunners Club. He enjoyed hunting. Tom also enjoyed anything that had to do with firearms, target practicing and the shooting sports. He is survived by a daughter Kerrie Welsh of Brockway; a son Thomas F. Welsh of Brockway; 2 sisters: Mary Jean (Lorn) Coleman of Brockport; Betsy (Warren) Williamson of Brockway; 2 brothers: Dave (Sue) Welsh of Brockway and Mike (Shelly) Welsh of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: LeeAnn Crawford, Dausen Crawford and Megan Crawford. All services for Tom are private at the convenience of his family. Memorial donations may be made to the Brockway Handgunners, Inc. The Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc in Brockway is handling the arrangements.
