Ellen “Sis” Tokar age 86 of James Street Brockway, PA; died on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway. Born on December 29, 1931 in Brookville, PA; she was the daughter of the late Guy and Mabel Shunk Sarvey. Sis was married to Joseph A. Tokar and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2006. Retired, she had been employed at Brockway Glass as a packer. She was protestant by faith. Sis enjoyed walking and especially taking walks with her dog. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her good friend Bev. She is survived by a daughter Vicki (Jim) Langa of Brockway; a son Butch (Roxane) Brenneman of Frederick, MD; a sister Patricia Skinner and a brother Larry Sarvey both of Brookville, PA; 3 grandchildren Benjamin and J.B. Brenneman and T.J. Collins as well as 2 great grandchildren Kaleigh and Trey Brenneman. She is also survived by a nephew and his wife Bill and Janet Sarvey. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by 5 brothers: Guy, Bill, Dick, Bob and Drew Sarvey and one great grandson that was a twin to Trey, Trent Brenneman. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 16 at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
