Ronald R. Powers

Ronald R. Powers age 82 of Kearney Road Brockway, PA; died on Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on September 12, 1935 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Maxwell and Iva Walburn Powers. On August 31, 1957 he was married to Joann Pasi and she survives. Retired, Ron had been employed as a Hot End Operator at Brockway Glass. He was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening.  Ron also had a passion for Collie dogs and he enjoyed the companionship of having many over the years. In addition to his wife he is also survived by a sister Betty Angelo of DuBois as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 3 brothers Emery, Richard and Daniel Powers. There will be no visitation. A private Funeral Mass was held on Saturday at St. Tobias Church with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial was in St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice. The Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in handling the arrangements.
