Robert J. Ruffner

Robert John Ruffner age 81 of Oyster Run Road Brockport, PA; died on Thursday October 5, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on March 9, 1936 in Layton, PA; he was the son of the late Robert J. and Bessie Cullar Ruffner. He was married to Kay Askey and she survives. Retired, he had been employed as an Locomotive Engineer at CSX for 30 years. Robert also was a Minister and a member of the Church of God. In addition to his wife he is also survived by a sister Betty. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 3 sisters: Alice, Harriet and Mary. A private funeral service was held with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating. Burial was in the Brockport Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice. The Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway is in charge of the arrangements.
