Paul Richard “Dick” Starr, 81, passed away at his home in Brockport on December 27, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in DuBois on August 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Alfreda Markelonis. He graduated from Brockway High School. He married Deanna Marnati on August 30, 1958. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Deanna, his three children: Richard (Lorri) Starr of Brockway, Linda Starr McKay of Brockway, and Gregory (Tara) Starr of Brockport; eight grandchildren: Rene, Richard P (Tina), Kyra, Tessa, Leah, Sabrena, Alex and Ethan; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Bobbie Galuzzi and Jean Lindemuth, both of Brockway. He served in the United States Army and is a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a member of St. Tobias Catholic Church in Brockway, where he served as usher. He was employed at Brockway Glass in the Mould Shop. In 1968 he and Deanna started Starr’s Trailer Sales in Brockway, because of their love of camping. Dick lived life to the Fullest! He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his wife Deanna, especially going to Florida, where “Everything Was Better!” Calling hours will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home in Brockway, PA, with a Vigil Service at 6:45 PM; and on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Chapel at St. Tobias Catholic Church, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in the St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, St. Tobias Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
