Margaret E. Holt

Margaret E. Holt age 75 of Route 28 (Sugar Hill) Brockway, PA; died on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on March 2, 1943 in Sugar Hill, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin W. and Ellen “Edna” Shields Holt Sr. Retired, Margaret had been employed at Owens-Brockway Glass as a Selector/Packer for 36 years. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Brockway. Margaret was a gal that loved to work and was always working around her home cutting the grass, tending to her flower beds or weeding her vegetable garden. She enjoyed doing things for others and helping her family no matter what the need may be. She also spent a good portion of her time working at her church and other church’s in the area. She will be greatly missed by her 3 sisters: Virginia (Lowell) Young of Worthville, PA; Leona Himes of Hazen, PA; Mary (Bob) Moody of Brockport, PA; 3 brothers: William (Joyce) Holt of Munderf, PA; Benjamin (Arvilla) Holt Jr. and Kenneth (Sue) Holt both of Sugar Hill; a sister-in-law Kathy Holt also of Sugar Hill as well as many nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by an infant brother David Holt; and infant sister Beverly Holt; a sister Grace Ross and a brother Robert Cargill “Carkie” Holt. Calling hours will be on Friday, May 11 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Henretty officiating. Committal prayers and burial will immediately follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.
