Joseph A. Jones

Joseph Allen Jones age 75 of Rattlesnake Road Brockport, PA; died on Friday August 24, 2018 at his residence. Born on July 29, 1943 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Arthur and Rachel Carr Jones. On June 8, 1967 he was married to Jane Harding and she survives. Retired, Joseph had been employed as a Mould Maker at the former Ross Mould in Brockway. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam era. Joe was Methodist by faith. He was a member of Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion. He enjoyed watching football, and he coached Brockway Youth Football for over 15 years. Joe also enjoyed Nascar Racing and cutting the grass and keeping his yard in tip top shape. In addition to his wife he is also survived by 2 sons: Jeffrey (Kay) Jones of North Las Vegas, NV; and Michael (Kylie) Jones of DuBois; a brother Tom (Joan) Jones of Winston-Salem, NC; and 2 granddaughters Tatelyn and Addyson. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by an infant brother. Calling hours will be on Monday August 27 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday August 28 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
