Jane R. Pilch

Jane R. Pilch age 93 of Eagles Nest Road Brockway, PA; died on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at her residence of natural causes. Born on July 8, 1924 in Farrell, PA; she was the daughter of the late Justyn and Zofia Winkel Januszka. She was a 1941 graduate of the West Middlesex High School. On August 21, 1943 she was married to Joseph Pilch and he preceded her in death on November 13, 2004. Jane was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in DuBois. She is survived by a son Joseph (Linda) Pilch Jr. of Brockway; 2 sister in laws: Angeline Bartel of Grove City and Frances Boal of West Middlesex as well as several nieces and nephews. Jane was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Along with her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by 4 sisters: Stella Wasko; Gladys Kidrick; Molly Kuzell and Helen Babnis; 4 brothers: Walter Janoski;  ChesterJanosky and Albert Janoski as well as an infant brother Joseph. Calling hours will be on Wednesday October 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. 1033 4th Avenue Brockway, PA 15824. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 12 at 10:30 AM also at the funeral home, with Msgr. Charles Kaza officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery.
