James Kearney

James Robert “Jim” Kearney age 62 formerly of Grandville Road Brockway, PA; currently a resident at the DuBois Nursing Home died on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on September 7, 1956 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Homer and Charlotte Griggs Kearney. Retired, Jim had been employed at the DuBois Nursing Home in the Housekeeping Department. He was a lifelong member of the Moorhead United Methodist Church. Jim enjoyed singing with the Village Voices, calling square dances, tuning pianos and spending time with his family. He is survived by a sister Mary Ann (Harry) Raybuck of Beechwoods; a brother William (LaRaine) Kearney of Falls Creek, PA; nieces and nephews: Eric, Ryan, Kendra, Kimberly, Kolten, Karly and Kasidie. Calling hours will be on Wednesday January 16 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 6 PM also at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Trask officiating. Burial will be in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
