Jacob A. Becker

Jacob Allen Becker age 32 of Mefferts Run Road Wilcox, PA; died on Sunday June 3, 2018 at U.P.M.C. Altoona. Born on July 3, 1985 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of Blaine Becker of Brockway and Sandra Welsh Puhala also of Brockway. He was married to April Blanchard on August 19, 2017 and she survives. Jacob was employed as a Supervisor/Laborer at Secondary Development and Research Inc. He was Methodist by Faith.  Jacob enjoyed hiking, biking, kayaking, hunting and especially fishing. In addition to his parents and his wife he is also survived by 2 brothers Adam and Joseph Becker both of DuBois, PA; 3 sisters Malisha Snedden of DuBois; Kate Snedden and Shelia (Zachary) Lennox both of Brockway; his father and mother-in-law Terrence and Lu Ann Skrzypek of Kersey, PA;  and his paternal grandparents Allen and Arlene Becker of Brockway; several nieces and nephews Jonathan Jr; Jaiden; Jerimiah, Ansley; Matthew; Madison; and Michael. He is also survived by his 2 cats Kiki and Sadie and a puppy Hunter. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents George and Francis Welsh. Calling hours will be on Tuesday June 5 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 6 at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church in Brockway with Rev. Christopher McCloskey officiating.
