Doris L. Doane

Doris L. Doane age 90 a lifelong Beechwoods, PA; (Jefferson County) resident died on Sunday March 3, 2024 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois. Born on December 24, 1933 in Allens Mills, PA; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Corbin Miller. On November 13, 1952 she was married to Paul Allen Doane and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2019. She was a homemaker. Doris was a member of the Beechtree Union Church, and a prayer warrior who loved her God and her family. She also was a quiet lady who was kind to everyone, and was always willing to listen and help. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, refinishing furniture, canning and reading. Doris is survived by 5 children: Dean (Betty) Doane of Reynoldsville, Marla (Allen) Minns of DuBois, Norma (Ralph) Ryden of Byrnedale, Beverly Gierlich of Denver, PA and Bobbie (Rod) Shaffer also of DuBois; a sister Sara Raybuck of Beechwoods, numerous grandchildren and many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a brothers Harold, Pete and Herbert Miller and a sister Mae Shaffer. A private Funeral Service was held with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial was in the Beechwoods Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Beechtree Union Church C/O Rev. Terry Felt 3023 Beechton Road Brockway, PA 15824
