Theodore Marche Jr. (“Junior” “Ted”) age 89 of Brandy Camp Circle Ridgway, PA; (Brandy Camp) died on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home in Altoona, PA. Born April 2, 1928 in Brockport, PA; he was the son of the late Theodore and Helen E. Hutchins Marche. On July 7, 1962 he was married to Stella Sarnoski at St. Josephs Church in Force and she survives. Ted was a Corporal  in the U.S. Armed Forces,  and was a Lieutenant  Weapons  Infantryman in the Korean war. He also served in the Ski Patrol in Alaska. Retired, he was employed as a Union Carpenter with local #947. He was a member of the Brandy Camp United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He loved making people laugh. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife Stella he is also survived by 3 daughters: Tina (Jeff) Buchheit of St. Marys, PA; Hope (Tim) Swanson of Caledonia, PA and Cathy Marche-Harvey of Clearfield, 7 grandchildren: Alicia (Scott) Fourness; Bryan and Brad Harvey; Josh (Kelly) Snyder; Adam, Laura and Renee Buchheit and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Henry Marche of Alexandria, PA as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by 2 sons: Theodore W. and Mark R. Marche; 5 brothers: Jule, James, Louis, Francis and Raymond Marche; 3 sisters: Julia Marche, Lorraine Flinchum and Helen Janosky. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, June 7 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 8 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Church in Brandy Camp with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the Brandy Camp Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be conducted by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion immediately following at the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
