Robert E. Castina

Robert E. Castina age 76 of Volunteer Fire Company Road Ridgway, PA; (Brandy Camp) died on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway. Born on March 16, 1941 he was the son of the late John and Rose Benigni Nasoni Castina. On October 7, 1975 he was married to Helen Celinski and she survives. Retired, Bob worked as a Truck Driver for Samuel J. Lansbury Trucking Company for over 19 years. He was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway and served in the National Guard. He enjoyed attending the country music events in the area and camping. He also was a member of the Horton Twp. Vol. Fire Department. In addition to his wife he is also survived by a daughter Valjean Castina of Cape Coral, FL; 2 sons: Rick Castina of Wichita, KS; Dean (Kristy) Castina of St. Marys, PA; 2 stepsons: Scott (Emma) Huffman of Bradford, PA; Mark Huffman of DuBois; one sister Anna Montebell of Kittanning, PA and one brother William (Bonnie) Castina of Brandy Camp. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister Doris Briggs. Calling hours will be on Sunday, September 17 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 18 at 9:30 AM at St. Tobias Church with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
