Esther G. Gorham

Esther G. Gorham age 80 of Clay Plant Road Brockway, PA; died on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois. Born in Albany, Texas on June 2, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Harland “Davis” and Oma Jones Gallion. She was married to Donald R. Gorham and he preceded her in death on December 3, 1995. Retired, Esther had been employed as a care nurse at Christ the King Manor. She was a member of the Beechtree Union Church and enjoyed gardening and sewing. She is survived by 3 daughters Candis LaSaunte of Wichita, KS; Virginia (Frederick) Connor of Brockway; Donna (David) Carr of Lewisville, Texas; 2 sisters Jean Napier of Soldotna, Alaska; Mary (Ted) Childs of Harlingen, Texas; 1 brother Douglas (Jo Ann) Gallion of Mesquite, Texas. Esther is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a daughter Sherry Starr and 2 brothers Larry and David Gallion. Calling hours will be on Monday, June 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.  A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 6 at 11:00 AM at the Beechtree Union Church with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brockway Ambulance Association P.O. Box 222 Brockway, PA 15824
