Beverly A. Starr

Beverly Ann Starr age 86 of Starr Road Kersey, PA; (Toby Road) died on Wednesday  July 26, 2017.  Born on April 10, 1931 in Lanes Mills, PA; she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Ima L. Snyder Bish. On October 7, 1950 she was married to Ivan D. Starr and he survives. Retired, Beverly was the co-owner of Starr Coal Company. She was Methodist by faith. Beverly enjoyed watching Nascar racing and cheering for Richard Petty back in the day. She also was a huge Elvis fan and knew how to enjoy the simpler things in life like cutting the grass. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a son David (Lisa) Starr also of Kersey; one sister Ima Jean Thomas of DuBois; a granddaughter Kacie (Jon) Carr of Kersey and a grandson Dustin (Mallory) Starr of Cranberry Twp.,  PA. She is also survived by a great grandson Nolan Starr and a great granddaughter Addisyn Carr. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by two brothers Raymond C. and Ronald Bish. Calling hours will be on Friday, July 28 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 29 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens at Ridgway.
